Anderson County, SC (August 8, 2026) – A 44-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 81 near Bridges Drive in Anderson County on Friday night, August 7.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said Justin Neil Casey of Anderson was the sole occupant of a 2016 Nissan Altima traveling south on Highway 81. A Toyota Corolla was traveling north when Casey's vehicle crossed the center line and struck it head-on, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol's preliminary investigation.
Anderson County 911 received a call about the crash around 10:30 p.m. First responders found Casey deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota was injured and transported to a hospital by EMS.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Anderson County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the crash.
