Florence, SC (September 27, 2026) – Two people were injured after a car left the roadway and struck a home on East Palmetto Street in Florence on Saturday, September 26. The collision was reported at about 4:20 p.m. across from Florence Regional Airport.
Florence County Fire Rescue found two people inside the car on arrival. Both had minor injuries and were turned over to EMS for further care.
Two juveniles were inside the home when the car struck it. Neither was injured.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Florence County Sheriff’s Office are investigating what caused the crash.
We hope the two injured people make a full and steady recovery.

When you need treatment, the at-fault driver’s insurance may eventually cover qualifying medical costs. Your own medical payments coverage or health insurance may help pay for care while responsibility for the crash is being determined.
If another driver caused the collision, you may seek compensation for more than medical bills. Recoverable losses can include missed income, pain and suffering, and other financial effects tied to your recovery.
After a crash, photographs, the police report, and contact information from people who saw what happened can help establish how the collision occurred. Keeping these materials together may also make later questions about responsibility easier to address.
Because South Carolina follows modified comparative negligence, your compensation can be reduced by your percentage of fault. You generally cannot recover damages from another responsible party if you are found more than 50 percent at fault.
In most cases, South Carolina gives you three years from the crash date to file a personal injury lawsuit. Starting before the deadline gives you time to prepare the case and complete the required court filing.
When an insurer questions whether a minor crash caused your injuries, a car accident lawyer can review your case, gather evidence, and communicate with the insurance company on your behalf.
