Anderson, SC (June 23, 2026) – A 24-year-old man died on Monday night, June 22, after a roadside crash near Whitehall Road and Pearman Dairy Road in Anderson.

Authorities reported that Pickens had been involved in an earlier crash that left his vehicle disabled on the shoulder. As he tried to fix a tire, a passing vehicle struck him. A second person standing nearby was also hit.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said Pickens died at the scene. Emergency crews took the second person to a local hospital. Officials listed Pickens’ cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries.
