Florence County, SC (September 25, 2026) – A driver was freed from an overturned vehicle after a two-vehicle collision on Old Ebenezer Road early this afternoon.
The vehicles were found near the 1300 block of Old Ebenezer Road, with one resting on its side, according to Florence County Fire Rescue. Emergency units used specialized equipment to remove the driver from the overturned vehicle.
The driver was then turned over to Florence County Emergency Medical Services for further evaluation. Officials have not specified the full extent of the injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol handled the investigation into the wreck, and it remains ongoing.
We hope the driver is doing well and recovers fully.

South Carolina generally gives someone three years from the date of an injury to file a personal injury lawsuit, under the state's statute of limitations.
If a person misses that window, it typically means losing the right to sue altogether, no matter how strong the underlying claim might be. Certain circumstances, such as claims that involve a minor or a government entity, can shorten or otherwise change that timeline.
Three years may sound like plenty of time, but evidence tends to disappear well before a deadline arrives. After a crash, vehicles get repaired or scrapped, skid marks fade, and witnesses become harder to track down the longer a case sits. When an accident leads a vehicle to overturn, details like the vehicle's final resting position and any mechanical findings are often most useful when documented early.
If a car accident victim waits too long to start building a case, they can lose access to police reports, recorded statements, or surveillance footage that insurers rely on internal retention schedules to keep only briefly. A car accident lawyer can help identify and preserve this kind of evidence well before the statute of limitations becomes a concern.
