Five Hospitalized in Two-Vehicle Crash on E Hwy 9 in Loris, SC

Loris, SC (August 21, 2026) – Five people were taken to the hospital on Friday morning, August 21, after a two-vehicle collision blocked all lanes of East Highway 9 Business at William Street in Loris.

The Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched around 7:50 a.m. to the site. All five people were transported for treatment following the wreck.

All lanes of East Highway 9 Business remained blocked as crews worked the site, and drivers were urged to avoid the area. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
