Carolina Forest, SC (July 9, 2026) – Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at Carolina Forest Boulevard and Waterbridge Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, July 9 , in Carolina Forest.
Emergency units arrived shortly before 3:30 p.m. and freed people trapped inside the vehicles. Four people were taken to the hospital.
According to the Horry County Police Department, one of its officers had stopped to remove debris from the roadway. The officer had activated the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights before the collision occurred.
The officer went to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Officials have not released further details about the conditions of the other three injured people.
Authorities continue to investigate what caused the crash.
We hope everyone injured receives the care and support they need during recovery.

After returning home, watch for headaches, neck pain, numbness, worsening soreness, dizziness, or trouble concentrating. Concussions, back injuries, and muscle damage may become more noticeable over time. A prompt medical evaluation can identify problems and guide follow-up care.
Around Carolina Forest, Carolina Forest Boulevard, U.S. Route 501, and Carolina Bays Parkway carry steady traffic. Frequent turns, merging vehicles, and shifting traffic patterns can leave drivers little time to react. Multi-vehicle crashes may also make it harder to determine how each impact occurred.
Once new symptoms appear, contact a healthcare provider instead of waiting for them to pass. A follow-up visit may uncover an injury that was not clear during the first examination. Early medical records can also show when the symptoms began and how they changed.
Even when discomfort seems minor, delaying care can make recovery and insurance discussions more difficult. Insurers may question whether the crash caused an injury when someone waits to seek medical help. Timely records provide a clearer picture of what happened and how the condition developed.
During recovery, insurance calls, medical bills, and paperwork can quickly become difficult to manage. A South Carolina car accident lawyer can review the available records, explain the claims process, and identify which insurance coverage may apply. This guidance can help you make informed decisions while focusing on your health.
