Clover, SC (August 2, 2026) – Two drivers were killed, and six passengers were injured in a head-on crash on North Parham Road in Clover on Saturday, August 1. The collision happened shortly before 3:00 p.m.
As reported by the authorities, a Ford Mustang was traveling south when it lost control and struck a Kia Sorento head-on. Both drivers died at the crash site.
Five children and one adult riding in the Kia were taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
North Parham Road was closed between Highway 55 and Highway 557 while crews assisted those involved and cleared the roadway. Drivers were directed to use Kingsbury Road as a detour.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision.
Our sincere sympathies go out to the families of the two drivers who lost their lives, and we hope the six injured passengers make full recoveries.

Under South Carolina law, the deceased person’s personal representative files the claim on behalf of eligible relatives. A spouse and children generally have priority, followed by parents or other heirs when closer relatives do not survive. Your family structure determines who may receive any recovery.
After a fatal crash in Clover, recoverable damages may include funeral expenses, lost financial support, and the loss of companionship, care, and guidance. Families may also face sudden transportation, household, and childcare expenses. Records showing these losses can help support the claim.
Along North Parham Road, evidence may disappear once vehicles are removed and traffic resumes between Highway 55 and Highway 557. Photographs, witness statements, vehicle data, and medical records may help explain the crash. Preserving this information early can protect your family’s rights.
At the same time, a separate survival action may address losses your loved one experienced before death. These may include final medical expenses, lost income, and conscious pain and suffering when supported by evidence. Any recovery from that claim generally belongs to the estate.
When several people are injured or killed in the same collision, available insurance coverage may need to address multiple claims. Policy limits may not fully cover every loss arising from the wreck. A wrongful death lawyer can review coverage, preserve evidence, and handle communications with insurers.
