Anderson, SC (August 7, 2026) – At least one person was hurt in a possible head-on collision on Concord Road between Cathey Road and Windham Drive in Anderson. The wreck happened along that stretch of roadway, according to initial reports.
The Anderson Police and emergency units responded on Friday afternoon, August 7, and treated those hurt before transport. The number of people involved and the extent of their injuries have not been released.
Investigators are continuing to investigate the cause.
We hope everyone involved makes a full recovery.

Head-on collisions tend to produce more severe injuries than other crash types because of the combined speed of both vehicles, usually resulting in broken bones, internal injuries, or long hospital stays. Recovery from these kinds of injuries can stretch on for months, and some people face permanent limitations that affect their ability to work or care for themselves.
Because South Carolina follows a modified comparative negligence rule, an injured driver can still recover damages as long as they're found 50% or less at fault, though the other driver's insurance company will often try to shift blame.
A car accident lawyer can help collect police reports, witness statements, and any available traffic camera footage before that evidence disappears, which can make a meaningful difference in how fault is ultimately assigned.
At The Arndt Law Firm, we know that anyone affected by a crash may have questions about what comes next, and we are ready to help answer them. Our team can walk through how comparative negligence might apply to your case.
