We are keeping anyone affected in our thoughts.

Drivers can preserve evidence by photographing vehicle damage, road markings, and visible injuries; saving names and contact details for witnesses; keeping medical and repair paperwork; and writing down what they remember while it is fresh. Dash camera and phone video should be saved right away, because recordings kept by businesses and others may be overwritten quickly.
Physical evidence changes fast. Vehicles are repaired, towed, or sold for salvage, and some store data about speed and braking that may be lost once the vehicle is repaired or scrapped. South Carolina generally allows three years to file a personal injury lawsuit, but evidence may not last that long.
To make sure nothing is lost, a car accident lawyer can help send preservation requests to businesses and others who may hold video or records and can guide you on how to document what you have.
