What Happens When a Pedestrian Is Struck in Dillon County, SC?

Jeep Strikes and Kills Pedestrian on I-95South Carolina law allows a wrongful death claim to be filed by a personal representative on behalf of the deceased's surviving family members, including a spouse, children, or parents.

Determining liability in these cases typically depends on nighttime visibility conditions, vehicle speed, and any available dash camera or highway surveillance footage.

A wrongful death lawyer can help a family request and preserve this kind of evidence quickly, since interstate crash data and footage are not always retained for long after the fact.

South Carolina's wrongful death statute generally allows a claim to be filed within three years of the date of death, and any recovery can include compensation for funeral expenses, loss of financial support, and loss of companionship.
