Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Hwy 52 in Moncks Corner, SC

Moncks Corner, SC (June 20, 2026) – A 21-year-old Moncks Corner man was killed Thursday morning, June 18, in a fatal auto versus pedestrian crash at Highway 52 and Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner. 

Damell Scott was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

Multiple agencies, including Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, Moncks Corner City Fire and Rescue, and the Moncks Corner Police Department, responded to the scene.

The Moncks Corner Police Department and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office are investigating the wreck.
