The sedan was occupied by two people, neither of whom reported injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the motorcyclist.
The crash remains under investigation.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the motorcyclist during this difficult time.

As the investigation progresses, officials and insurance companies typically examine evidence such as witness statements, vehicle damage, roadway markings, and any available surveillance or dash camera footage. In crashes involving turning vehicles, investigators often focus on right-of-way, visibility, speed, and the actions of each driver in the moments before impact. These details can play a significant role in determining responsibility.
While the investigation continues, families are often left coping with both emotional loss and unexpected financial burdens. Funeral expenses, the loss of household income, and the absence of a loved one's support can create lasting challenges. At the same time, insurance companies may begin reviewing available policies and evaluating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
A wrongful death attorney can help preserve important evidence, review applicable insurance coverage, and communicate with insurers throughout the claims process. Legal guidance may also help surviving family members understand what compensation may be available under South Carolina law, depending on the facts established during the investigation and the losses resulting from the crash.
