What Evidence Is Commonly Reviewed After a Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Horry County, SC?

Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

After a fatal motorcycle crash in Horry County, SC, investigators typically examine physical evidence, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, and witness statements to determine how the collision occurred.

As the review progresses, additional evidence such as photographs, vehicle inspections, and any available video footage may also be considered. On major roadways throughout Horry County, determining the sequence of events often requires a detailed reconstruction of vehicle movements before the collision.

Beyond the investigation itself, insurance companies frequently rely on the same documentation when evaluating claims. Medical records, the official crash report, and other supporting evidence can all become relevant when assessing potential liability and available coverage.

In wrongful death cases, surviving family members may also need records related to funeral expenses, financial losses, and other damages that may be considered under South Carolina law.

A wrongful death lawyer can help families gather documentation, review insurance policies, and explain how the investigation may affect potential legal options. Legal guidance may also clarify which types of compensation may be available, depending on the circumstances.
