Liberty, SC (August 10, 2026) – Several people were hurt on Sunday, August 9, when a side-by-side vehicle rolled over on Barnett Road near Garrett Drive, ejecting multiple occupants.
The Liberty Police and emergency units responded to the scene after reports of the rollover. The number of people involved and the extent of their injuries have not been released.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the rollover.
We are thinking of those hurt as they receive care.

People thrown from a rolling vehicle can suffer broken bones, spinal injuries, or head trauma, and injuries can vary significantly depending on where each occupant landed and how the vehicle came to rest. When multiple people are involved, injury severity can differ widely from one person to the next.
Liability in these cases can extend beyond the driver. If a mechanical failure, unstable design, or missing safety feature played a role, a car accident lawyer can help determine whether a manufacturer, property owner, or another party shares responsibility.
South Carolina's modified comparative negligence rule allows an injured passenger to recover damages as long as they are not found more than 50% at fault.
At The Arndt Law Firm, we know a multi-injury wreck like this can leave families with a lot of uncertainty. We are available to walk you through your possible next steps under South Carolina law.
