Marietta, SC (July 3, 2026) – One person died after a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Dacusville Highway and Dalton Road.
The collision occurred at the intersection, though the exact time has not been released. The Marietta Police and emergency services rushed to the scene to help those involved.
The rider did not survive the crash. No information about the other driver's condition has been confirmed.
Investigators have not yet said what led to the collision. Authorities continue to review this wreck.
Our thoughts are with the family of the person who died.

South Carolina allows a wrongful death claim to be brought by the personal representative of the deceased's estate, and a separate survival action can address medical expenses or pain the rider experienced before death. Because fault in intersection crashes that involve motorcycles tends to come down to each driver’s fault, a wrongful death lawyer can help gather traffic camera footage, witness accounts, and the trooper's report before that evidence becomes harder to obtain.
At the Arndt Law Firm, we know that to lose a loved one in a fatal crash leaves families with difficult questions and no clear place to start. Therefore, we are available to talk through what South Carolina's wrongful death and survival action laws may mean for each family.
