One Injured in Fire on Oakheart Rd in Carolina Forest, SC

Carolina Forest, SC (August 24, 2026) – One person was hurt on Sunday evening, August 22, after a fire broke out at a commercial building on Oakheart Road in the Carolina Forest community.

The Horry County Fire crews were called to the 2000 block of Oakheart Road around 7:01 p.m. after smoke was reported inside the building.

Crews brought the fire under control, and the cause of the smoke was located and isolated. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Crews remained on hand to ventilate the building of remaining smoke. Further details about what caused the fire and how the person was hurt had not been released as of this report.
