Carolina Forest, SC (December 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash blocked lanes of traffic Friday morning in the Carolina Forest area, prompting a response from multiple emergency agencies.

According to officials, the crash occurred on December 26 near the intersection of Carolina Forest Boulevard and Shoreward Drive. Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:35 a.m. after reports of a collision.

Emergency crews arrived to find lanes of Carolina Forest Boulevard blocked due to the crash. One person was evaluated at the scene and transported to a local hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been released.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, and the Horry County Police Department is assisting.

We wish the injured person a safe and speedy recovery.

Two-Vehicle Crashes in the Carolina Forest Area

Carolina Forest Boulevard is a busy corridor connecting residential communities, schools, and shopping areas, making it a high-traffic roadway throughout the day. With frequent lane changes, turning traffic, and congestion near intersections, crashes involving two vehicles are not uncommon.

Even when only two vehicles are involved, these collisions can still cause serious injuries and major traffic delays.

In Horry County, two-vehicle accidents are often linked to factors such as distracted driving, failure to yield the right of way, speeding, or abrupt stops in congested areas. Morning hours can be especially hazardous as commuter traffic overlaps with school drop-offs and commercial activity.

Under South Carolina law, individuals injured in a motor vehicle accident may be entitled to pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, vehicle damage, and physical and emotional pain when another driver’s negligence contributes to the crash.

However, insurance claims can quickly become complex, particularly when injuries are severe or fault is contested.

Establishing liability in these cases typically involves a thorough review of crash reports, witness accounts, and any available video or traffic data. In some situations, responsibility may be shared, which can further complicate the claims process and make experienced legal guidance especially important.
