Jasper County, SC (December 7, 2025) – One person was killed, and several others were injured on Friday, December 5, in a serious three-vehicle collision on South Carolina Highway 462 near Snake Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. and involved a 2024 Ford F-150, a 2016 Jeep Compass, and a 2024 Jeep Cherokee. Troopers report that the Ford F-150 was traveling north on SC-462, while both the Compass and Cherokee were heading south when all three vehicles collided.

Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Ford F-150, 25-year-old Keeley Hall of Ridgeland, tragically died at the scene. All remaining occupants from the involved vehicles were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of Ms. Hall, and we also hope for healing and recovery for everyone injured in this tragic incident.

Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Jasper County

Multi-vehicle collisions are among the most severe types of roadway incidents in Jasper County, especially along routes such as SC-462, where local traffic, regional travelers, and rural road conditions intersect.

Roadways with limited lighting, high evening traffic, and long stretches without barriers or turn lanes can contribute to head-on or multi-directional crashes, often resulting in catastrophic outcomes.

According to recent South Carolina traffic data, Jasper County continues to see a steady number of serious collisions each year, with multi-vehicle crashes accounting for a significant share of fatal and injury-related incidents. Contributing factors may include speeding, distracted driving, fatigue, and misjudged passing distances on two-lane rural highways.

When vehicles traveling in opposite directions collide, the force of impact can lead to life-threatening injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, internal trauma, spinal damage, and complex fractures.

Investigations into multi-vehicle crashes typically involve detailed scene reconstruction, examination of debris fields, analysis of impact points, and interviews with drivers, passengers, and witnesses.

Weather conditions, roadway design, and mechanical issues may also be considered when determining how and why the collision occurred. Establishing fault can be challenging, particularly when multiple vehicles, directions of travel, and driver actions must be evaluated.

For injured victims and their families, the aftermath of a serious collision can feel overwhelming. Medical bills, lost income, long-term treatment needs, and uncertainty about insurance coverage often add to the stress of recovery.

In fatal crash cases, families may also face unexpected financial burdens and difficult questions as they seek closure and accountability. A wrongful death attorney familiar with South Carolina accident cases can help victims understand their legal rights, preserve critical evidence, and communicate directly with insurance providers.

Legal representation ensures that victims and families receive support in pursuing compensation for medical care, pain and suffering, funeral costs, lost earnings, and other related losses.
