Longs, SC – Two Hurt in Two-Vehicle Crash With Entrapment on E Hwy 9 Near Sun Colony Blvd

Longs, SC (December 22, 2025) – A major two-vehicle crash with entrapment blocked lanes of East Highway 9 on Saturday, December 20, in the Longs area. The collision occurred near the intersection of East Highway 9 and Sun Colony Boulevard, prompting an emergency response from local crews.

Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:57 p.m. Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles involved and occupants trapped inside at least one of them. Fire rescue crews deployed extrication equipment to safely remove the trapped individuals.

Two people were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials have not released details about the extent of their injuries at this time.
