Socastee, SC (September 4, 2026) – Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash with entrapment near Socastee Boulevard and Rosewood Drive.
According to the Horry County Fire Rescue, emergency units were dispatched at 3:15 p.m. Crews blocked some lanes of traffic to perform an extrication to free a person trapped in one of the vehicles.
All three people involved were taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to look into what led to the crash.
We hope for a smooth recovery for all three individuals.

A police report from a crash investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol can typically be requested online through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety's collision report portal. This site allows people to search by report number, date, or the names of those involved.
Most reports become available within a few business days to about two weeks after a crash, depending on how quickly the investigating trooper completes the paperwork.
A police report usually becomes the foundation of an injury claim, since it documents witness contact information, statements from those involved, road conditions, and the trooper's preliminary findings about how the collision occurred. Insurance adjusters heavily rely on this report when they evaluate fault and decide how to process a claim.
It is important to request it as soon as it becomes available because some details can be harder to track down the longer someone waits, particularly if a case involves multiple vehicles or disputed fault.
If a report contains an error, such as a misidentified vehicle or an incomplete description of events, correcting it can require additional documentation and follow-up with the Highway Patrol. A car accident lawyer can help request the report, review it closely for inaccuracies, and follow up if something needs to be amended before an insurance company relies on it.
