Loris, SC (September 17, 2026) – Three people were injured after a vehicle struck a building near Cedar Branch Road and Turkey Hollow Road in Loris on Wednesday, September 16.
Horry County Fire Rescue was called at about 9:53 p.m. Emergency crews took three people to a hospital for treatment, including one person who was critically injured.
Nearby roads were expected to remain blocked while crews worked. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the wreck.
We hope those injured make a full and speedy recovery.

After a forceful collision, common injuries may include head trauma, neck or back injuries, broken bones, and soft-tissue damage. These injuries can interfere with sleep, movement, work, and ordinary daily activities for weeks or months afterward.
If you share responsibility, South Carolina’s comparative negligence rule may reduce your recovery by your percentage of fault. You generally cannot recover damages if you are found more than 50% responsible.
As you recover, medical records, bills, wage statements, repair estimates, and photographs can help establish your losses. Clear documentation can also support your claim throughout discussions with the insurance company and reduce disputes over its value.
Even if your losses are well documented, insurance policy limits may affect how much money is available. This may become a concern when several people are injured or one person needs extensive medical care under the available coverage.
Because South Carolina generally allows three years to file a personal injury lawsuit in court, waiting too long may prevent you from pursuing your claim. Certain circumstances can change that deadline, so it is wise to act promptly.
When an insurer disputes fault or the value of your claim, a South Carolina car accident lawyer can review the crash, gather evidence, calculate your losses, and present a claim that reflects how the injury has affected your life.
