Three Hurt in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 90 in Conway, SC
October 2, 2026

Conway, SC (October 2, 2026) – Three people were injured on Friday, October 2, in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 90 near Tilly Pine Drive.

The Horry County Fire Rescue was called at 8:19 a.m., and all three people were taken to the hospital.

Lanes of traffic were blocked on Highway 90 while emergency units worked, and drivers were told to avoid the stretch near Tilly Pine Drive.

Investigators are working to determine how the two vehicles came together.

We are thinking of all three people, and we wish them a full recovery.

Can Shared Fault Reduce an Injury Claim in Conway, SC?

Three Hurt in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 90

Yes, in South Carolina, a driver's share of fault can reduce or even bar a claim. The state follows a modified comparative negligence rule, in which a person who is found 50 percent or less at fault may recover damages reduced by their percentage of fault. Meanwhile, if someone is found more than 50 percent at fault, they generally recover nothing.

On busy corridors, two drivers can describe the same moment very differently, and insurers may assign fault based on whichever version the evidence supports best. Even a small percentage assigned to an injured driver can lower the amount of a settlement.

Fault findings tend to rest on concrete proof, such as photos of vehicle damage and road markings, witness statements, medical records, and any available video.

Some of that proof can disappear quickly, so it helps to record details and contact information while memories are fresh. A car accident lawyer can help collect those materials, challenge unfair fault percentages and explain how South Carolina's rule may affect the value of a claim.

Disputes over who caused a collision can shape an entire claim, and they can be hard to navigate alone. At the Arndt Law Firm, we can help you understand how this process may develop for your specific case under South Carolina law.
