What Are Your Legal Options After a Truck Accident in Horry County, SC?

If you have been injured in a truck accident in Horry County, your legal options are to file an insurance claim with the at-fault driver’s insurer or to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. The best option depends on the cause of the crash, your injuries, and insurance coverage.

When a dump truck is involved in a crash, the situation can become complicated. Investigators may need to take a closer look at several drivers’ actions. They review statements, vehicle damage, medical records, and photos to understand what happened.

After an accident with more than one vehicle, it’s not always obvious who was at fault. One driver might cause the first crash, while another could make things worse. More than one insurance company may get involved, which adds confusion.

Before you speak to an insurance adjuster, it’s good to know which facts matter most. Try not to guess about speed or blame. Even a quick comment from you can influence how your claim is handled.

Roads in Horry County, such as Dick Pond Road, connect Socastee and Surfside Beach. These are busy with local, beach, and commercial traffic. Accidents can happen quickly, and nearby highways like SC-544, US-501, and SC-31 often get crowded too.

Sometimes, pain from an accident does not seem serious right away. Symptoms like neck pain, back pain, headaches, or shoulder pain can get worse after a day or two. Medical treatment quickly creates records, and follow-up visits help document changes.

Once you’ve taken care of your health, a truck accident attorney can walk you through what compensation might be available. This includes medical bills, lost wages, future treatment costs, and other losses covered by South Carolina law. Every outcome depends on evidence and insurance.

Getting advice from a legal professional early on can be very helpful, especially before deadlines or insurance complications arise. At The Arndt Law Firm, we help people across South Carolina make sense of their injury claims and understand their options moving forward.
