People hurt in these kinds of pileups can experience whiplash, back injuries, or concussions that aren't immediately obvious. The number of vehicles involved can also mean more insurance policies come into play, which sometimes helps when it comes to covering medical costs, but can also slow down how quickly a claim moves forward.
A Mount Pleasant car accident lawyer can help victims navigate communication with multiple insurance companies at once, which is usually one of the more frustrating parts of a multi-vehicle claim.
South Carolina follows a modified comparative negligence rule, which means that a person can recover damages as long as they are not found more than 50 percent at fault, and injury claims generally must be filed within three years of the date of the crash.
