Two Hurt After Vehicle Overturns in Crash on Hwy 90 in Longs, SC

Two Hurt After Vehicle Overturns in Crash on Hwy 90 in Longs, SC
June 14, 2026

Longs, SC (June 14, 2026) – Two people were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Thursday night, June 11, after a two-vehicle crash in which one vehicle overturned in the Longs community area of Horry County.

The Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the scene following the accident. Both people were transported for treatment following the wreck.

No names, ages, or further details about those involved were confirmed in the initial report on the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

We hope both those hurt make full and smooth recoveries.

What Should You Know About Rollover Crash Claims in Horry County, SC?

After a rollover crash in Horry County, those hurt should know that South Carolina's fault-based insurance system holds the responsible driver liable for the losses of injured parties, and that establishing exactly how the rollover occurred, what driving behavior contributed to it, and what each driver did in the moments before impact is central to determining fault and building a viable claim.

One important consideration in rollover crash claims is that injuries described as non-life-threatening at the scene can still carry serious long-term consequences that aren't immediately apparent in the emergency room.

Spinal injuries, soft tissue damage, and head trauma sustained in a rollover can worsen without consistent medical follow-up, and the full financial impact, including future care, rehabilitation, and lost income, may take weeks or months to fully understand.

Settling before that picture is complete can result in compensation that falls well short of what a person will actually need over the course of recovery, making it especially important to resist early settlement pressure from insurance companies.

The compensation available after a rollover crash may extend beyond the at-fault driver's liability policy as well. South Carolina requires insurers to offer uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, both of which can provide additional protection when the responsible driver's policy limits are insufficient to cover the full extent of a person's losses.

Reviewing all applicable policies, including those carried by other household members, is a step that is easy to overlook but can make a meaningful difference in the total compensation available.

A personal injury attorney can promptly help ensure that evidence relevant to how the crash occurred is preserved while it is still accessible. An attorney can identify all available sources of compensation, navigate South Carolina's fault-based insurance rules, and ensure that any resolution reached genuinely reflects the full and lasting scope of an injured person's losses before any settlement is accepted.
