Two Hurt in Motorcycle Crash During Chase in Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach, SC (August 3, 2026) – Two people were seriously hurt after a motorcycle crashed during a police chase on Robert M. Grissom Parkway at 21st Avenue North.

The Horry County Sheriff's Office said the wreck happened on early Sunday morning, August 2, around 1:30 a.m. after the motorcyclist failed to stop for blue lights, prompting a South Carolina Highway Patrol vehicle to begin pursuit.

The motorcycle veered off the road and struck a curb and a tree. Both the driver and a passenger on the bike were wearing helmets and were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The patrol vehicle was not damaged.
