Two Killed in Head-On Wreck on Snow Rd in Anderson Co., SC

Anderson County, SC (August 8, 2026) – Two Anderson men were killed in a head-on crash on Highway 29 near Snow Road on Thursday evening, August 6.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said deputies were called to the crash around 6:45 p.m. and found two men deceased inside their vehicles. The victims were identified as Shaquan Akeem Thompson, 32, and Ronnie Lee Holder, 47, both of Anderson.

A preliminary investigation found that Thompson was driving a black Ford Mustang west on Snow Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck Holder's silver Nissan Sentra head-on. The coroner’s office reported that both men died from multiple traumatic injuries and ruled their deaths accidental.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the crash.
