Woman Dies Days After Crash on Augusta Rd in Aiken, SC

Aiken, SC (July 10, 2026) – A Warrenville woman has died two days after a wreck at the intersection of Augusta Road and Old Aiken Road, according to the Aiken County Coroner's Office. Lorraine Crawford, 70, passed away from her injuries early Thursday morning, July 9.

The collision happened around 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7. Crawford was riding as a passenger in a northbound 2025 Kia Forte that rear-ended a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica.

Crawford was taken to WellStar MCG following the wreck. She died from her injuries at 1:38 a.m. on Thursday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
