Wreck Kills 2, Hurts 2 on SC 61 in Bamberg Co., SC

Bamberg County, SC (July 26, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash killed two people and injured two others at South Carolina Highway 61 and Farrells Road in Bamberg County on Saturday, July 25. The collision occurred at 11:20 p.m.

As reported by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a Jeep Wrangler was traveling south on South Carolina Highway 61 while a Chevrolet Silverado headed west on Farrells Road. The vehicles collided at the intersection, left the roadway on opposite sides, and overturned.

Emergency units arrived shortly afterward and assisted the four people involved. Crews airlifted the Jeep’s driver to a Charleston hospital for medical care.

A passenger in the Jeep and the Chevrolet’s driver died from their injuries. A passenger in the Chevrolet sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
