Bluffton, SC (November 12, 2025) – Emergency response teams were dispatched early Wednesday morning to a two-vehicle accident reported near the Wendy’s located along Evan Way in Bluffton. The incident was first reported around 3:52 a.m., after calls came in describing a collision involving airbag deployment and at least one injured individual.
When the
Bluffton Police Department arrived at the scene, they located two vehicles that had collided near the restaurant entrance. The impact caused the airbags in at least one of the vehicles to deploy. One person involved in the crash reported pain in the left arm, hand, and chest. Paramedics evaluated the injured individual, providing initial medical care on site before preparing for further assessment at a nearby hospital. No additional injuries were reported in the initial dispatch information.
Authorities worked to manage traffic flow around the area as emergency units conducted their operations. Evan Way sees routine early morning activity from employees, delivery trucks, and passing motorists, which requires responders to secure the scene to prevent secondary incidents.
No information has been released regarding the number of occupants in each vehicle, and the initial report did not provide details on the events leading up to the collision.
We wish the victim and everyone involved a full and speedy recovery.
Car Accidents in Bluffton
Bluffton continues to experience steady population growth, increased commercial activity, and expanding traffic patterns, which contribute to a rise in vehicle accidents throughout the region. Even a seemingly routine two-vehicle crash can result in significant injuries, particularly when airbags deploy or when occupants experience trauma to the chest or upper extremities. Areas near restaurants, shopping centers, and major connecting roads often see heightened crash risk due to turning vehicles, changing traffic patterns, and irregular driver behavior during busy or late-night hours.
Injuries affecting the arms, hands, and chest can vary in severity. Chest injuries may involve bruising, strain from the airbag impact, or possible internal injury that requires careful medical attention. Hand and arm injuries may indicate fractures, sprains, or soft tissue damage. For this reason, medical professionals typically advise that anyone experiencing pain after a collision undergo a full evaluation, even if the injuries appear minor at first.
When victims are left dealing with pain, medical appointments, missed work time, and the stress of repairing or replacing their vehicle, the aftermath of a crash can quickly become overwhelming. Understanding your rights is an important step in protecting yourself after an accident caused by another driver’s actions.
