Loris, SC (April 18, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck caused traffic disruptions and critical injuries at the intersection of East Highway 9 and Cedar Branch Road on Thursday, April 16.

Emergency crews responded to the scene where one of the vehicles had occupants trapped inside. Horry County Fire Rescue personnel deployed extrication operations to safely remove those entrapped.

Authorities reported that two individuals sustained critical injuries and were transported to the hospital for urgent medical care. Their current state has not been shared.
