Myrtle Beach, SC (October 25, 2025) – Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Thursday, October 23, near the intersection of Harrelson Boulevard and Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. The collision, reported around 7:53 a.m., resulted in at least one person sustaining neck and back injuries.

According to initial reports, the crash involved two vehicles traveling in the same direction when one struck the other under unclear circumstances. The impact left both vehicles damaged and temporarily blocked part of the roadway. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department and emergency medical teams arrived quickly to assess the situation and provide aid to those involved.

Paramedics treated one individual on-site who reported pain in the neck and back before transporting them to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation and treatment. Other occupants were evaluated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, including whether speed, distraction, or following distance played a role.

We extend our thoughts to everyone involved in this crash and wish a swift and complete recovery to the injured individual.

Car Accidents in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is one of South Carolina’s busiest coastal cities, with heavy traffic throughout the year due to tourism and local commuting. Major roadways such as Harrelson Boulevard and Grissom Parkway often experience congestion, particularly during peak hours. Unfortunately, this traffic density increases the likelihood of rear-end collisions, side impacts, and multi-vehicle crashes.

According to data from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, Horry County consistently ranks among the highest in the state for traffic collisions and injuries. Many of these accidents are attributed to distracted driving, speeding, and failure to yield. Even seemingly minor crashes can cause serious injuries, including whiplash, herniated discs, and other forms of back or neck trauma that require long-term treatment.

Victims of car accidents frequently face significant financial and emotional challenges. Medical bills, missed work, and ongoing physical therapy can place a heavy burden on individuals and their families. In these cases, seeking legal representation can make a crucial difference. A knowledgeable car accident attorney can help victims recover compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and other related damages.

It’s also important for victims to seek medical attention immediately after a collision, even if symptoms seem mild at first. Some injuries, such as soft tissue damage or spinal misalignment, may not present symptoms until hours or days later. Prompt diagnosis and documentation are essential for both recovery and any potential legal claim.
