Myrtle Beach, SC – Person Extricated and Hospitalized After Crash on River Oaks Dr
February 10, 2026

Myrtle Beach, SC (February 11, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision caused major traffic delays in the Carolina Forest area on Wednesday morning, February 11. The Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) was dispatched to the intersection of River Oaks Drive and Village Center Boulevard at approximately 8:46 a.m.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found one of the occupants trapped inside their vehicle. Firefighters immediately launched extrication operations, using specialized tools to cut through the wreckage and free the individual. Once removed, the person was stabilized and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The local police department took over the investigation into the cause of the accident.

Our thoughts are with the injured individual during their recovery.

How an Attorney Can Help After a Crash with Entrapment in Myrtle Beach

When an accident is serious enough to require firefighters to cut you out of a vehicle, the legal and insurance issues can be just as overwhelming as the physical recovery.

A lawyer helps by stepping in to handle the complicated parts of a personal injury claim so you can focus on healing. They will investigate the crash to prove exactly who was at fault.

An attorney acts as your advocate, making sure the insurance companies don't take advantage of the situation. After a major crash, adjusters often try to settle quickly for as little as possible. A legal team will work with medical experts to understand the full extent of your injuries. Because entrapment usually involves high-impact forces, injuries like broken bones, internal damage, or head trauma might require long-term care that a quick settlement wouldn't cover.

Finally, a lawyer helps you gather the evidence needed to support your case. This includes getting the official South Carolina Highway Patrol report, finding any witnesses, and looking for nearby security or dashcam footage. They handle the stress of paperwork and deadlines, ensuring that the driver who caused the crash is held accountable for your medical expenses, lost wages from missed work, and the pain you’ve been through.

At The Arndt Law Firm, we help crash victims and review multi-vehicle crash situations in Myrtle Beach and nearby areas. Our team can discuss how medical documentation, insurance matters, and accident records may apply to your case.
